# CB vs BTTalk

The clearest difference is rating: BTTalk at 3.5 against CB's 2.3. BTTalk also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 11) and iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). CB's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (46% vs 27%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CB sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 3 months. BTTalk asks for nothing beyond the download.

BTTalk holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CB has 63 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of CB's written reviews are positive against 27% of BTTalk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CB ships an update fortnightly, BTTalk every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
