# Mathleaks vs Scholr

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Scholr at 100% against Mathleaks's 38%. Scholr also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.1) and update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly). Mathleaks's advantage is ratings volume (148 vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mathleaks sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.49 per month and Scholr sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scholr holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mathleaks has 148 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 38% of Mathleaks's written reviews are positive against 100% of Scholr's.
