# History Log vs African

The clearest difference is rating: African at 5.0 against History Log's 3.0. African also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 months). History Log's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 16.0).
