# VyprVPN vs Boxwise

The clearest difference is update cadence: Boxwise at every 11 days against VyprVPN's every 4 months. VyprVPN's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VyprVPN sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Boxwise sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VyprVPN ships an update every 4 months, Boxwise every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
