# Toolkit vs Smart Tools

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Smart Tools at 322 against Toolkit's 59. Smart Tools also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Toolkit sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Smart Tools sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Toolkit against 4.5 for Smart Tools. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart Tools has 322 ratings behind it against 59, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 82% of Toolkit's written reviews are positive against 78% of Smart Tools's.

Toolkit ships an update every 2 months, Smart Tools every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
