# OSRAM DMX Wi vs Luminair

The clearest difference is rating: Luminair at 4.6 against OSRAM DMX Wi's 2.3. Luminair also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 4) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). OSRAM DMX Wi's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Luminair sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. OSRAM DMX Wi asks for nothing beyond the download.

Luminair holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Luminair has 1.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of OSRAM DMX Wi's written reviews are positive against 36% of Luminair's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OSRAM DMX Wi ships an update every 2 months, Luminair fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
