# Drwer vs Shield

The clearest difference is price: Drwer at Free against Shield's $0.99. Drwer also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.4) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 26.0). Shield's advantage is review sentiment (90% vs 51%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). On ratings volume, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Drwer is free to download; Shield costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Drwer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Drwer's written reviews are positive against 90% of Shield's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Drwer ships an update every 4 months, Shield every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
