# Connect Compete vs Trace Teams

The clearest difference is rating: Trace Teams at 4.8 against Connect Compete's 1.9. Trace Teams also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (4.4K vs 56). Connect Compete's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Trace Teams holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trace Teams has 4.4K ratings behind it against 56, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of Connect Compete's written reviews are positive against 24% of Trace Teams's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Connect Compete ships an update every 2 months, Trace Teams weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
