# DC Metro and Bus vs eXactnav

The clearest difference is review sentiment: eXactnav at 100% against DC Metro and Bus's 11%. eXactnav also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 15) and ads (none vs shown). DC Metro and Bus's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.7) and update cadence (weekly vs every 6 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DC Metro and Bus sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. eXactnav asks for nothing beyond the download.

DC Metro and Bus holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DC Metro and Bus has 37K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of DC Metro and Bus's written reviews are positive against 100% of eXactnav's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DC Metro and Bus ships an update weekly, eXactnav every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
