# Musely vs VICI

The clearest difference is ads: VICI at none against Musely's shown. VICI also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). Musely's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VICI holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 24K and 9.6K respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 82% of Musely's written reviews are positive against 95% of VICI's.

Musely ships an update fortnightly, VICI every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
