# Connect The Dots with Animals vs Join The Dots

The clearest difference is update cadence: Join The Dots at weekly against Connect The Dots with Animals's every 3 months. Join The Dots also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14). Connect The Dots with Animals's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (25 vs 7). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Connect The Dots with Animals sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Join The Dots sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Connect The Dots with Animals holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 25 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Connect The Dots with Animals's written reviews are positive against 57% of Join The Dots's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Connect The Dots with Animals ships an update every 3 months, Join The Dots weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
