# Tapas vs Super Comics

The clearest difference is rating: Tapas at 4.6 against Super Comics's 3.5. Tapas also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (45K vs 10). Super Comics's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tapas sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and Super Comics sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tapas holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tapas has 45K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 49% and 49% positive.

Tapas ships an update monthly, Super Comics every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
