# Tapas vs Janitor

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Tapas at none against Janitor's 4. Tapas also leads on ratings volume (45K vs 5.7K). Janitor's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Janitor sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Tapas asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Tapas against 4.5 for Janitor. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tapas has 45K ratings behind it against 5.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 49% of Tapas's written reviews are positive against 61% of Janitor's.

Tapas ships an update monthly, Janitor every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
