# Meeting Notepad vs Microsoft Whiteboard

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Meeting Notepad at 80% against Microsoft Whiteboard's 36%. Meeting Notepad also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). Microsoft Whiteboard's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 2.7) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Meeting Notepad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Microsoft Whiteboard asks for nothing beyond the download.

Microsoft Whiteboard holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Whiteboard has 12K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Meeting Notepad's written reviews are positive against 36% of Microsoft Whiteboard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Meeting Notepad ships an update every 4 months, Microsoft Whiteboard every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
