# LDS Primary Stories vs Isaiah Explained

The clearest difference is rating: Isaiah Explained at 4.7 against LDS Primary Stories's 4.1. Isaiah Explained also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 10 months). LDS Primary Stories's advantage is ratings volume (299 vs 39) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 16.4). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LDS Primary Stories sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Isaiah Explained sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Isaiah Explained holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LDS Primary Stories has 299 ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of LDS Primary Stories's written reviews are positive against 55% of Isaiah Explained's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LDS Primary Stories ships an update every 10 months, Isaiah Explained monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
