# Chomper Chums® vs Toothbrush Timer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chomper Chums® at none against Toothbrush Timer's 7. Chomper Chums® also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.0). Toothbrush Timer's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 23 months) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Toothbrush Timer sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Chomper Chums® asks for nothing beyond the download.

Toothbrush Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Toothbrush Timer has 589 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Chomper Chums®'s written reviews are positive against 68% of Toothbrush Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chomper Chums® ships an update every 23 months, Toothbrush Timer every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
