# GMATPractice vs Official GMAT | Manhattan Prep

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: GMATPractice at none against Official GMAT | Manhattan Prep's 9. GMATPractice also leads on review sentiment (87% vs 60%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). Official GMAT | Manhattan Prep's advantage is ratings volume (2.4K vs 13) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Official GMAT | Manhattan Prep sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $21.99 per month. GMATPractice asks for nothing beyond the download.

Official GMAT | Manhattan Prep holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Official GMAT | Manhattan Prep has 2.4K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of GMATPractice's written reviews are positive against 60% of Official GMAT | Manhattan Prep's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GMATPractice ships an update every 2 months, Official GMAT | Manhattan Prep every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
