# Síminn vs Nova

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Síminn at 75% against Nova's 29%. Síminn also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Nova's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.8) and ratings volume (437 vs 10). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Nova holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nova has 437 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Síminn's written reviews are positive against 29% of Nova's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Síminn ships an update every 5 weeks, Nova fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
