# BOOK WALKER vs カクヨムViewer

The clearest difference is rating: カクヨムViewer at 4.7 against BOOK WALKER's 4.0. カクヨムViewer also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 11) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). BOOK WALKER's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (32% vs 12%). On price, monetization model, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BOOK WALKER sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. カクヨムViewer asks for nothing beyond the download.

カクヨムViewer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BOOK WALKER has 410 ratings behind it against 49, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of BOOK WALKER's written reviews are positive against 12% of カクヨムViewer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BOOK WALKER ships an update every 5 weeks, カクヨムViewer fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
