# Backgammon Games vs Backgammon Multiplayer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Backgammon Multiplayer at 100% against Backgammon Games's 36%. Backgammon Multiplayer also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 15.6). Backgammon Games's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 2.5) and ratings volume (707 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon Games sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Backgammon Multiplayer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backgammon Games holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backgammon Games has 707 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Backgammon Games's written reviews are positive against 100% of Backgammon Multiplayer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Backgammon Games ships an update every 3 weeks, Backgammon Multiplayer every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
