# Backgammon vs Hrapoff games

The clearest difference is rating: Hrapoff games at 4.7 against Backgammon's 4.1. Hrapoff games also leads on ads (none vs shown). Backgammon's advantage is ratings volume (709 vs 18) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Hrapoff games sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hrapoff games holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backgammon has 709 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Backgammon's written reviews are positive against 31% of Hrapoff games's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Backgammon ships an update every 3 weeks, Hrapoff games every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
