# Backgammon Games vs Backgammon X

The clearest difference is update cadence: Backgammon X at every 2 weeks against Backgammon Games's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon Games sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Backgammon X sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backgammon Games ships an update every 3 weeks, Backgammon X every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
