# ColourComics vs WoWo Comics

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ColourComics at none against WoWo Comics's 7. ColourComics also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). WoWo Comics's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 9 months) and rating (4.4 vs 4.0). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WoWo Comics sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. ColourComics asks for nothing beyond the download.

WoWo Comics holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WoWo Comics has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of ColourComics's written reviews are positive against 73% of WoWo Comics's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ColourComics ships an update every 9 months, WoWo Comics fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
