# Sci vs Picture Hunt

The clearest difference is rating: Sci at 5.0 against Picture Hunt's 4.5. Picture Hunt's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 26 months) and ratings volume (6K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sci sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Picture Hunt sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sci holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Picture Hunt has 6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sci ships an update every 26 months, Picture Hunt every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
