# Beardify vs Depth Shift

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Depth Shift at none against Beardify's 8. Depth Shift also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 80%). Beardify's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (418 vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Beardify costs $0.99 and Depth Shift $0.99 up front. Beardify sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Depth Shift asks for nothing beyond the download.

Beardify holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Beardify has 418 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Beardify's written reviews are positive against 100% of Depth Shift's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
