# Tesla vs Tessie

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Tesla at none against Tessie's 17. Tesla also leads on ratings volume (127K vs 9.7K) and chart position (#18 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tessie sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Tesla asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Tesla against 4.8 for Tessie. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tesla has 127K ratings behind it against 9.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 61% of Tesla's written reviews are positive against 64% of Tessie's.

Tesla ships an update every 2 weeks, Tessie weekly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
