# Transavia vs Metro Mapper

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Metro Mapper at 95% against Transavia's 35%. Transavia's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 1.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Metro Mapper sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Transavia asks for nothing beyond the download.

Transavia holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Transavia has 4.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Transavia's written reviews are positive against 95% of Metro Mapper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Transavia ships an update every 3 weeks, Metro Mapper fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
