# Countdown vs LiveTime Viewer

The clearest difference is price: LiveTime Viewer at Free against Countdown's $1.99. LiveTime Viewer also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and device support (5 vs 2). Countdown's advantage is ratings volume (41 vs 9). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

LiveTime Viewer is free to download; Countdown costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LiveTime Viewer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 41 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Countdown's written reviews are positive against 71% of LiveTime Viewer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Countdown ships an update every 2 months, LiveTime Viewer every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
