# Crime Scenes vs Unsolved Case

The clearest difference is rating: Unsolved Case at 4.3 against Crime Scenes's 3.1. Unsolved Case also leads on ratings volume (92 vs 27). Crime Scenes's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crime Scenes sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Unsolved Case sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Unsolved Case holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 27 and 92 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Crime Scenes's written reviews are positive against 25% of Unsolved Case's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
