# Garmin Connect™ vs SVN

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Garmin Connect™ at 59K against SVN's 10. Garmin Connect™ also leads on chart position (#21 vs unranked) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 weeks). SVN's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.4) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SVN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Garmin Connect™ has 59K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Garmin Connect™ ships an update every 2 weeks, SVN every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
