# MapPath vs Terra Map

The clearest difference is update cadence: Terra Map at every 3 weeks against MapPath's every 2 months. Terra Map also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MapPath sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Terra Map sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MapPath ships an update every 2 months, Terra Map every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
