# Guns & Ammo vs LiveFire

Guns & Ammo and LiveFire both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of LiveFire's written reviews are positive against 21% of Guns & Ammo's. LiveFire also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 6 months). Guns & Ammo's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (863 vs 32). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Guns & Ammo sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per year and LiveFire sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LiveFire holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guns & Ammo has 863 ratings behind it against 32, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 21% of Guns & Ammo's written reviews are positive against 100% of LiveFire's.

Guns & Ammo ships an update every 6 months, LiveFire every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
