# Guns & Ammo vs SWLog

The clearest difference is rating: Guns & Ammo at 4.7 against SWLog's 1.0. Guns & Ammo also leads on ratings volume (865 vs 1). SWLog's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Guns & Ammo sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per year. SWLog asks for nothing beyond the download.

Guns & Ammo holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guns & Ammo has 865 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Guns & Ammo's written reviews are positive against 25% of SWLog's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Guns & Ammo ships an update every 6 months, SWLog fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
