# Baker's vs The Smart Card

The clearest difference is rating: Baker's at 4.7 against The Smart Card's 3.4. Baker's also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 19 months) and ratings volume (7.1K vs 17). The Smart Card's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Baker's holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Baker's has 7.1K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Baker's ships an update weekly, The Smart Card every 19 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
