# eXtra اكسترا vs Almanea

The clearest difference is rating: eXtra اكسترا at 3.3 against Almanea's 2.3. eXtra اكسترا also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 27). Almanea's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
