# Fry's vs Farmbox

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Farmbox at 100% against Fry's's 11%. Farmbox also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Fry's's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (117K vs 4). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fry's holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fry's has 117K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of Fry's's written reviews are positive against 100% of Farmbox's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fry's ships an update weekly, Farmbox every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
