# Fred Meyer vs Smith Brothers

Fred Meyer and Smith Brothers both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 69% of Smith Brothers's written reviews are positive against 10% of Fred Meyer's. Smith Brothers also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Fred Meyer's advantage is ratings volume (149K vs 165) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Fred Meyer against 4.6 for Smith Brothers. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fred Meyer has 149K ratings behind it against 165, so its average is the more settled of the two.
