# Fred Meyer vs Droplocker Public Locker

The clearest difference is rating: Fred Meyer at 4.7 against Droplocker Public Locker's 2.3. Fred Meyer also leads on ratings volume (145K vs 19) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Droplocker Public Locker's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fred Meyer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fred Meyer has 145K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of Fred Meyer's written reviews are positive against 27% of Droplocker Public Locker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fred Meyer ships an update weekly, Droplocker Public Locker monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
