# Fred Meyer vs Carrot Cashback

The clearest difference is rating: Fred Meyer at 4.7 against Carrot Cashback's 3.7. Fred Meyer also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (150K vs 6). Carrot Cashback's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 10%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fred Meyer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fred Meyer has 150K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of Fred Meyer's written reviews are positive against 50% of Carrot Cashback's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fred Meyer ships an update weekly, Carrot Cashback every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
