# QFC vs Smith Brothers

QFC and Smith Brothers both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 70% of Smith Brothers's written reviews are positive against 15% of QFC's. Smith Brothers also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). QFC's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 165) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for QFC against 4.6 for Smith Brothers. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QFC has 11K ratings behind it against 165, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 15% of QFC's written reviews are positive against 70% of Smith Brothers's.

QFC ships an update weekly, Smith Brothers fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
