# Magic Wipe! vs Vanish

The clearest difference is ads: Magic Wipe! at none against Vanish's shown. Magic Wipe! also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 6 months vs every 20 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Magic Wipe! holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Magic Wipe!'s written reviews are positive against 90% of Vanish's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Magic Wipe! ships an update every 6 months, Vanish every 20 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
