# ACT Math vs Volume and Geometry

The clearest difference is update cadence: Volume and Geometry at every 3 weeks against ACT Math's every 11 months. Volume and Geometry also leads on ratings volume (178 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). ACT Math's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ACT Math sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Volume and Geometry sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ACT Math holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Volume and Geometry has 178 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ACT Math ships an update every 11 months, Volume and Geometry every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
