# Sygic vs Magic Earth Navigation & Maps

The clearest difference is rating: Sygic at 4.5 against Magic Earth Navigation & Maps's 3.9. Sygic also leads on ratings volume (57K vs 569). Magic Earth Navigation & Maps's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (51% vs 41%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sygic sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $12.49 per 3 months and Magic Earth Navigation & Maps sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sygic holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sygic has 57K ratings behind it against 569, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Sygic's written reviews are positive against 51% of Magic Earth Navigation & Maps's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
