# Sygic vs MapFactor Navigator

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sygic at weekly against MapFactor Navigator's every 6 weeks. Sygic also leads on ratings volume (57K vs 838) and chart position (#119 vs unranked). MapFactor Navigator's advantage is review sentiment (57% vs 41%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sygic sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $12.49 per 3 months and MapFactor Navigator sells 26 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MapFactor Navigator holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sygic has 57K ratings behind it against 838, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 41% of Sygic's written reviews are positive against 57% of MapFactor Navigator's.

Sygic ships an update weekly, MapFactor Navigator every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
