# Terrafin Mobile vs DiveGenius

The clearest difference is rating: Terrafin Mobile at 5.0 against DiveGenius's 3.5. Terrafin Mobile also leads on chart position (#118 vs unranked) and device support (3 vs 1). DiveGenius's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Terrafin Mobile sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DiveGenius sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Terrafin Mobile holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Terrafin Mobile's written reviews are positive against 50% of DiveGenius's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Terrafin Mobile ships an update every 6 weeks, DiveGenius weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
