# DRMemory vs Aloha VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: DRMemory at ad-supported against Aloha VPN's subscription. Aloha VPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (348 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DRMemory sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Aloha VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aloha VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aloha VPN has 348 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 53% of DRMemory's written reviews are positive against 55% of Aloha VPN's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on August 31, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
