# Le Scienze vs il manifesto

The clearest difference is monetization model: Le Scienze at free with in-app purchases against il manifesto's subscription. Le Scienze also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). il manifesto's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 17 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Le Scienze sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and il manifesto sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Le Scienze ships an update every 17 months, il manifesto fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
