# Microsoft PowerPoint vs Noteful

Microsoft PowerPoint and Noteful both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 87% of Noteful's written reviews are positive against 53% of Microsoft PowerPoint's. Noteful also leads on iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). Microsoft PowerPoint's advantage is ratings volume (584K vs 24K) and chart position (#28 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Microsoft PowerPoint sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Noteful sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Microsoft PowerPoint against 4.8 for Noteful. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft PowerPoint has 584K ratings behind it against 24K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 53% of Microsoft PowerPoint's written reviews are positive against 87% of Noteful's.

Microsoft PowerPoint ships an update weekly, Noteful fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
