# Checkers (Draughts) vs ™ Checkers

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Checkers (Draughts) at 100% against ™ Checkers's 36%. Checkers (Draughts) also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). ™ Checkers's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.5) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 38 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ™ Checkers sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Checkers (Draughts) asks for nothing beyond the download.

™ Checkers holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ™ Checkers has 755 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Checkers (Draughts)'s written reviews are positive against 36% of ™ Checkers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Checkers (Draughts) ships an update every 38 months, ™ Checkers every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
