# BambooHR vs Microsoft Teams

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BambooHR at none against Microsoft Teams's 3. Microsoft Teams's advantage is ratings volume (3.4M vs 13K) and chart position (#5 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Microsoft Teams sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. BambooHR asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for BambooHR against 4.8 for Microsoft Teams. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Teams has 3.4M ratings behind it against 13K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 26% of BambooHR's written reviews are positive against 24% of Microsoft Teams's.

BambooHR ships an update every 2 weeks, Microsoft Teams weekly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
